Centre for Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine

University Hospital of the Paracelsus Medical University (PMU)

The SALK Centre for Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine brings together the University Clinic for Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, the Division of Neonatology, the reKiZ Neurorehabilitation Centre and the University Clinic for Paediatric and Adolescent Surgery. Together, they form a multi- and interdisciplinary centre with short distances around the child. The clinics cover all important paediatric and adolescent medicine subspecialties and work closely with other departments of the university hospital.

In Austria, the centre is one of the leading specialised facilities for Level 1 care. Alongside extensive teaching responsibilities, it conducts internationally recognised research in cooperation with the Paracelsus Medical University. Patients from across the region up to the age of 18 are treated here.

“Ronald McDonald Haus Salzburg gives families of children receiving care at our clinic a home away from home. Staying close to family is very important for children. Ronald McDonald Haus Salzburg is a place where family members can retreat and recharge. We are very grateful to the entire team and all donors for their generous support.”

Prim. Univ.-Prof. Dr Daniel Weghuber, Head of the University Clinic for Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine
