LKH-Univ. Klinikum Graz
University Clinic for Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine
LKH-University Hospital Graz is, alongside Vienna and Innsbruck, one of Austria’s three public university hospitals. Since 2002, the hospital has been affiliated with the Medical University of Graz. Its responsibilities therefore include not only patient care, but also research and teaching.
Around 11,000 children and adolescents receive inpatient care here each year, while around 100,000 receive outpatient care. This work is shared by five clinical departments and the hospital’s joint clinical area, with a total of 166 beds.
Thirty percent of these beds are in newly adapted parent-child rooms, and around 7,000 accompanying persons are admitted each year. The outpatient area includes a large general and emergency clinic with ultrasound diagnostics and 22 specialist outpatient clinics. The hospital’s general refurbishment has been completed, enabling the team to offer a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services for children and adolescents.
Ronald McDonald Haus Graz, located directly on the hospital grounds, gives parents and siblings a protected space close to the hospital where they can find peace and receive important support during often lengthy treatment periods.
